of the National Council of Jew-
ish Women, left for Paris to
represent her organization at
the Interniaional Council of
Jewish Women, which will open
its four-day meeting on May 29
- in the French capitol.
Prior to the meeting of . the
international body, she will
make a three-week tour of in-
spection of the activities that
the National Council of Jewish
Women is sponsoring in Europe
and Israel. Upon her arrival
abroad, she will journey by air
to Tel Aviv, Athens, Rome,
Munich, Frankfort, and then to
Paris.
During her tour of Europe and
Israel, Mrs. Welt • will make a
first-hand inspection of her • or-
ganization's Overseas Service
Program.
In Jerusalem, Mrs. Welt will
present to Sir Leon Simon,
chairman of the Exeecutive Com-
mittee of the Hebreir University,
her organization's 1949 payment
in support of the Department of
Education. •
While in Israel, she will call
at the United States Embassy
at the invitation of American
Ambassador James G. McDonald.
Mrs. Welt will be presented to
Queen Frederika of Greece; and
will be tendered a reception at
the Council Home in Athens.
The Baroness Eduard de
Rothschild and other members
of the French Sponsoring Com-
mittee for the Cotincil Home in
PariS will be present for a re-
ception there in Mrs. Welt's
honor.
