Complete 50 Years of Marriage

MR. AND MRS. MORRIS FIREMAN

. The golden spot in a long end happy marriage was reached
April 30, when Mr. and Mrs. Morris Fireman of 1945 W. Phila-
delphia celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Family and friends honored Mr. and Mrs. ,Fireman with a
reception at Zack's, following a wedding ceremony. It was
attended by their daughter, Mrs. Faye Ezrack; sons, Ben, Marvin
and Jack Fireman of Los Angeles, and four grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Fireman were born in Odessa, Russia and came
to this country about 40 years ago. They are both active in
community organizations.

The ceremony . took place on
Sunday afternoon, April 10, at
the home of the bride and was
followed by a reception. Rabbi
Maxwell Dubin of Wilshire
Blvd. Temple officiated.
The young couple left for a
honeymoon in Carmel and San
Francisco, to be followed by a
trip to Detroit.

At a late afternoon ceremony
April 10 at the Kate Frank Me-
morial Chapel of Shaarey Zedek
Synagogue, Rachel Rosenstein
and Arthur Hollander were unit-
ed in marriage. Rabbi Morris
Adler officiated, assisted by
Cantor Jacob Sonenklar.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel L. Rosen-
stein of 2275 Hazelwood. Her
husband's parents are Mr. and
Mrs. David Hollander of In-
dianapolis.
For her wedding, the bride
wore a gown of white cotton
matellasse, designed by herself
and Rose Baron, with a finger-
tip veil held by a lace tiara.
She carried a white orchid on
a prayer book with flower
streamers.
Mrs. Harry Goldon, the bride's
cousin, was her matron-of-honor.
Robert Hollander served his
brother as best man and Aaron
D. Rosenstein, the bride's broth-
er, was an usher.
Dinner at the Wilshire Hotel
followed the ceremony, after
which the newlyweds left for a
honeymoon in New York State.
They will reside in New York
City, where the bridegroom is
completing his studies for the
rabbinate at the Jewish Theo-
logical Seminary.

Wheel Chair to Veteran

Abraham Littman, manager Of
the Yiddish Theater in Detroit,
announced this week that - he
had reserved the main auditor-
ium of the Masonic Temple for
Monday evening, May 30 (Dec-
oration Day), for a single per-
formance by Menashe Skulnik,
known as "The King of Laugh-
ter" on the Yiddish stage.
Mr. Skulnik will appear with
his entire New York cast and
chorus in his latest success
which ran for an entire season
in New York—the musical com-
edy "What a Guy" ("Der Emeser
Bocher").
