operation of the Beth Yehudah
schools f o r

a n d graduated
f r om Hutchins
Kalt
Intermediate and Northwestern
High Schools. He entered the
steel business a short time after-
wards, and has remained in it
since, except for three and half
years in the army.
A member of AZA, the Masons,
and Bnai Birth, Kalt says, "To
me, it's wonderful to be both a
good American and a . devoted
Jew; the Beth Yehudah schools
are making this possible for
hundreds of young people each
year."

For the second year in succes-
sion, Rev. Charles F. Goudey,
minister of the Brewster Pilgrim
Congregational Church and Rabbi
Leon Fram of Temple Israel will
exchange pulpits.
Rev. Goudey will occupy Rabbi
Fram's pulpit at Sabbath eve
services Friday, April 29, in the
lecture hall of the Detroit Insti-
tute of Arts. He will be • intro-
duced by Maurice Levin, presi-
dent of the Men's Club of Temple
Israel. The services will be read
by Arthur J. Hass and Charles
Goldstein.
Rabbi Fram will occupy Rev.
Goudey's pulpit on Sunday morn-
ing, May 8.
Temple Israel Religious School

Northwest School Marks
Jewish History Week
Jewish History Week will be
celebrated at the Northwest He-
brew Congregation Religious
School Sunday, April 24. An ex-
hibit of Jewish history books,
periodicals and historical objects
will be held in the school gym-
nasium, and all classrooms will
have special programs devoted
to the past and current history
of the Jewish people.
