for 11 years as a member and
chairman of the Michigan Parole
Board at Lans-

Before- being appointed to the
ParOle Board in 1937 by former
Governor Frank Murphy, Mr.
Eliasohn served as Prosecuting
Attorney of Mason County,
Michigan, for two terms follow-
ing graduation from the Uni-
versity of Michigan Law School
in 1932. In 1936 he ran against
U. S. Congressman Albert Engel
in the Ninth District of Michi-
gan, losing out by only 600 votes
of better than 80,000 cast.
He _was married in 1948 to
Rosalie Glasser of Detroit. They
have two children, Julie Beth, 7,
and ,Michael, 4.
Eliasohn has been active in
Jewish affairs during his resi-
dence in Lansing, having served
as president of the Jacob H.
Schiff Lodge of Bnai Brith, presi-
dent of the Men's Club of Shaarey
Zedek Congregation, member of
the board of trustees of the syna-
gogue. In recent years he has
also served as chairman of the
State A. D. L. Committee of
Bnai Brith.

Haifa Chapter Presents
Original Musical Satire
At Monday Evening Fete

An original musical satire en-
titled "The Map from Mars" will
be presented at the next meeting
of Haifa Chapter of Bnai Brith
Monday evening, April 25, it was
announced by Dr. Louis Kazdan,
president.
The satire was written and pro-
duced under the -general super-
viSion of Mrs. Albert Schwartz,
program chairman. Its staff in-
cludes:

Schwartz, libretto; Philip Bernstein,

The JNWA City Committee also
is planning an enlarged cultural

which guest speakers and singers
will be presented.
Dr. William Klein has been
named medical director of the
Farband.
JNWA City Committee repre-
sentatives are active in activities
for the schools, the Farband
Camp, Jewish National Fund,
Community Council and Allied
Jewish Campaign.
