MUNICH, (JTA) — Rumors of

Semi-annual clearance of Jew-
ish National Fund Blue and
White Boxes, traditionally con-
ducted during Passover and Suk-
koth, will begin on Sunday, April
17, and will continue until May
15.
Arthur ,Shutkin, JNF executive
director, pointed out this week
that the JNF boxes represent an
important means of traditional in-
come. He announced that a large
number of volunteers have under-
taken to clear the. boxes and to
assure the gathering of a suffic-
ient sum to supplement Detroit's
income for land redemption in
Israel.
At the recent meeting at the
Northwest Congregation, the lin-
o portance of JNF work at this
time was outlined by Rabbi
Moses Lehrman, William Hordes,
Irving Schlussel, Mrs. Jack Ros-
enthal and Mr. Shutkin. Many in
the audience applied for the in-
stallation of the traditional boxes
in their homes.

the club's 1949 bazaar, scheduled
for April 30 and May 1 at the
Labor Zionist Institute. •
Committees are working tender

Fund, of which Mrs. Sarah Levin
is chapter chairman. Pioneer

the sponsors of all young Israel
youth groups, will meet at semi-
nar at 8 p.m. Monday, April 18, in
the Young Israel office, to for-
mulate plans for the next four
months.
The agenda will include the
formation of a youth council, a
general rally of all youth groups,
organization of intra-club com-
petition sports, summer outings,
out-of-town expeditions, and the
YoungeIsrael Camp, Camp Adas,
