new Youth Group of the Jewish
People's Folk Chorus, members
of the group held election of of-
ficers last week.
Morris Davidson was elected
president. Other officers include
Fred Braun, vice president and
membership director; Jack Graff,
treasurer; Marion Shulman, re-
cording secretary; May Davidson,
corresponding secretary; Ger-
trude Tolchin, social secretary;
Leo Kaufer, librarian: Jean
Braun, publicity director; and
executive committee members-
at-large, Sidney Graber, Roberta
Meyers and Evelyn Zaidmari.
At the Folk Chorus concert
May 22. the Youth Group will
sing folk songs of all lands. Any-
one interested in joining the
group is invited to attend rehear-
sals Tuesday evenings at room
317 of Central High School, or

`Books for Israel' Drive
Is Launched by Farband

the Red Cross blood bank for use
of its members and families.
The first "wholesale" contribu-
tion took place last Wednesday
evening, when the Red Cross
mobile-unit arrived at the Work-
men's Circle.
Twenty pints were donated of
which 16 pints already have been
given to Bnai Brith members or
their families.
Dr. Laurence Yaffa is presi-
dent and blood donor chairman
of the Louis Marshall Lodge. Mrs.
Oscar Bank is blood donor chair-
man of the Louis Marshall Wo-
men's Chapter.

half-hour Passover drama star-
ing Hollywood's Paul Muni in the
leading role and combining the
ancient and modern significance
of the ceremonial season, will be
presented over WJR and CBS
in cooperation with the United
Jewish Appeal, at 4:30 p.m. Sun-
day, April 17. The original script
is by Millard -Lampell.
