Group Celebration
Of Spring Festival

During the next two weeks the
activities of the Jewish Commun-
ity Center will be geared to the
festival of Passover.
Sunday, April 10, the four chil-
dren's clubs of the Jewish Parents
Institute will hold two Sedar ses-
sions, at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.,
in Butzel Hall. Each club will
have its • own "family" Seder,
with a "father" and "mother"
selected by the children presiding
over the table ceremonies. The
children will be assisted by the
parents only in the food prepara-
tion, according to Mrs. Roslyn
Reder, Parents Institute chairman
of children's parties.
The parents of the Institute are
planning their second annual Sed-
er, to be held Saturday evening,
April 9, • in the auditorium. Chair-
man Sam Kellman, assisted by
Mrs. Sylvia Chover, will present
a Hagadah expressing the Jewish
Parents' Institute concept of the
significance of Passover. Mrs.
Helen Ross, social committee
chairman, is in charge of pre-
paring the holiday meal.
'Sunday, April yr, at 8:30 p.m.,
the Teen Club Council will hold
its Teen Age Model Seder in
Butzel Hall. The committee of
Sylvia Jaffee, Cyrile Mendelsohn,
Sanford Pollack and Art Wein-
inger is also planning its version
of the Hagadah, a Seder and other
appropriate Passover ceremonies.

school vacation during the Pass-
over period by going on trips.
The Center Stars, 8-9 year old
girls, are going to Belle Isle, Mon-

Maccabees, 6-7 year old boys, are
going to Velvet Peanut Butter
plant, Monday, April 18. The
Kiddy Gang, 7 year old girls, and
Friendly Fairies, 5-6 year old
girls, are going to Palmer Park,
Friday, April 22.

By Government Office

NEW YORK.—Bnai Brith is
the only national Jewish organi-
zation represented on the Attor-
ney General's Advisory Commit-
tee on Citizenship, as a result of
the Order's outstanding Ameri-
canism program now being trans-
lated through the 1,500 local
lodges and chapters throughout
the United States, it was an-
nounced at the annual meeting
of the National Commission on
Americanism and Civic Affairs
held here.
