After spending a month in Los Angeles and Palm Springs, Mrs.
George Friedman o1 Whitmore Rd. is a guest at the Arizona Biltmore
Hotel, Phoenix, Ariz., where she will remain until the end of March.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Kaplan of Pleasant Dr., Ypsilanti, arrived
home after a month's vacation in Miami Beach.
Harry B. Park, president of Harmo Tire and Rubber Corp., left
Tuesday for an extended European tour. Before Mr. Park's de-
parture, Mr. and Mrs. Park were entertained by friends and relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Irving H. Wohlman have returned from a two-
:month stay in Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Gersuk and daughters, Ilene and
Loretta, are now residing at 18695 San Juan Dr.
Micki Lancet is returning from a week's stay in New York,
where she went to meet her father, who has come from Glasgow,
Scotland, on the "Elizabeth" to spend six weeks visiting his daugh-
ters, Micki Lancet, Gladys Lancet and Mrs. Fay Shore, and other
relatives in Detroit and New York.
Dr. and Mrs. Max R. Beitman and daughter, Shirley, are
spending the month of March visiting with their parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Meyer Zack on Palm Island, Miami -Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis - Lambert of Whittier Dr. have returned from

a visit in Hawaii.
Mr. and Mrs. Melville Welt of Balmoral Dr. returned on Tues-
day- from a stay at a ranch near Phoenix, Ariz.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Newman and their daughters, Janet and
Linda, of Canterbury Rd. left on Sunday to spend a week in New
York.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Winethan of Hamilton Dr. have returned
from a West Indies Cruise.
Mr. and Mrs. Israel Himelhoch of the Whittier have returned
from Palm Beach, Fla.
Miss Selma Sampliner of the Chatham Apt. has returned from
Los Angeles, where she spent the last month visiting with her
mother, Mrs. Jennie Sampliner.
Mary Brown who attends Simmons College will arrive this Sat-
urday from Boston to spend her spring vacation with her mother,
Mrs. S. Lambert "Brown of the Lee Crest.
Miss Edna Welling who spent the winter months in Palm Beach,
Fla., is spending 10 days as the guest of her brother, David M. Wel-
ling of the Belcrest, before •eturning to her home in Petoskey, Mich.
William Broder of Burlington Dr. has returned from New Jersey
where he spent a week visiting with his brother, Brewster.
Expected home this Saturday from their cruise to South Amer-
ica on the S. S. Brazil are Mr. and Mrs. Nate Shapero of Strathcona
Dr., :Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Allen of Lincolnshire Dr., Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Farbsten of Burlington Dr. and Mrs. M. M. Wittelshofer of
Boston Blvd.

Sholem Post Invites
New Enlistees in JWV

Sholem Post of Jewish War
Veterans announces that it is
prepared to welcome new mem-
bers. Veterans of the last war
are asked to communicate with
Ben Chinitz, UN. 4-1964, for in-
formation.
On Thursday evening, Sholem
Post members met at the home of
Hyman Safran and heard a re-
port from Mr. Safran on his re-
cent visit in Israel.
An old time movie night was
held last week at Turover Hall,
Dexter and Monterey. More than
150 veterans were present.

daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max
Rubin, and Harold Bogrow, son

Jewish Cultural Center, 2705 Joy
Rd., under the auspices of the
Congress of American Women
and the Emma Lazarus Divisions,
in • celebration of International
Women's Day.
Miss Phillips was one of the
35 American delegates to the
Second CongreSs of the Women's
International Democratic,. Feder-
ation. She will give a first hand
report of the assembly which
met in Budapest last. December
with representatives of 81 mil-
lion women from nations all over
the world. A musical program
also will be featured.

Representing the Department
of Michigan, Jewish War Vet-
erans, at the national executive
committee convention in Atlanta,
Ga., March 26 and 27, will be
Harold F. Moran, department
commander; Harry T. Madison,
past department commander and
a member of the JWV national
executive committee, and Ben
Greenfield, commander of Lt.
Raymond Zussman Post.
Main speaker at the convention
will be Rabbi Abba Hillel Silver
who will address the banquet
March 27.

Schools at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday,
March 30, at the Rose Sittig
Cohen Bldg.
The program, entitled "Making
Words More Meaningful," will
present highlights of audio-visual
education techniques.

officiated. Dinner and reception
followed the ceremony.
The bride wore a gown of white
satin with -a sweetheart neckline,
trimmed in seed pearls, long
sleeves and full skirt. A crown
of pearls held her fingertip veil,
and she carried a Bible with a
white orchid and streamers of
lilies of the valley.
Mrs. Ralph Epstein attended
her sister as matron-of-honor,
and Rosalyn Rubin, Marion Bo-
grow and Lillian Zeifman were
bridesmaids. Milton Bogrow was
his brother's best man and Morris
Rubin, Ralph Epstein and Phil
Edelheit were ushers.
After a wedding trip to New
York, the young couple will re-
side on Calvert Ave.

and Mrs. Bruce Koploy are
honeymooning at the Broadmoor
Hotel in Colorado Springs, fol-
lowing their wedding on March 6
at Temple Beth El.
Mrs. Koploy is the former
Marilyn Gladstone, daughter of
Mrs. Eve Gladstone and Joseph
E. Goldston. Her husband is the
son of Mrs. Leo Katzman and
Nathan Koploy.
For her wedding, the bride
wore a Hattie Carnegie gown of
ice-blue lace and carried white
camellias on a white Bible.
Mrs. Kal Gladstone, sister-in-
law of the brided, was matron-of-
honor. Edith Nolish, the bride's
cousin, was junior bridesmaid.
The bridegroom's brother, Les-
ter, was best man. Ushers were
Kal Gladstone, brother of the
bride, Michael Spilker, Bruce
Spilker, Buddy Jacobson and Ro-
land Harris.
Following the ceremony, a re-
ception was held in the Temple
social hall , for 250 guests.
The couple will be at home on
W. Boston Boulevard after
April 1.

the program was arranged by
the store's representative,- Mrs.
Shirley Haynes, who was the
commentator. Mrs. Charles Git-
lin was chairman of the program.
In addition to making these
contributions, Saks Fifth Avenue
purchased reservations for a
table of 10 at which Mrs. Allen
Johnson was hostess. Mr. John-
son also was present. An original
hat was provided by Saks, as an
additional gift, as a prize.
Proceeds from . this event will
be used to provide prosthetic ari-
pliances for men and women
who were injured in Israel.
It was announced at the lunch-
eon and fashion show of the
Maimonides Women's Auxiliary
that Louis Nathanson has pledged
a sum of money, to be given
through Maimonides Women, for
10 wheel chairs to be sent to
Israel in memory of his wife,
Rebekah.
