that profits and dividends from
American investments in Israel
would be paid in United States
dollars, if the original investment
was made in dollars or in machin-
ery and equipment originating in
the United States. Nathan point-
ed out that this policy was in line
with the Israeli Government's
announced intention to extend all
possible assistance and encour-
agement to the investment of
American capital in Israel. The
return to the investor will be
made in dollars, under Israeli
policy, even if the investment is
made partly in the form of long
term credit.
