Fashion Show, Purim
Play, at JNF Ladies'
Meeting on Tuesday

"Buttons and Bows," a fashion
review and Purim play, will feat-
ure the meeting of the Ladies'
Auxiliary of the Jewish National.
Fund at 12:30 p.m. next Tuesday,
March 15, at the Beth Shmuel
Synagogue, Dexter and Buena
Vista. A dessert luncheon also
will be served.
Mrs. I. Walter Silver, program
chairman, announces that Moe
Kessner will sing several selec-
tions and will lead in community
singing. Miss Marilyn Kaplan
will offer violin selections, ac-
companied at the piano by Mrs.
S. Barr.
Social hostesses for the after-
noon will be Mesdames W. Kap-
lan, H. Friedman, S. Harrison and
S. Krone. Mrs. P. Stollman, as-
sisted by Mrs. J. Kraft, will be
hostesses in charge.

AVODAH CHAPTER, PIO-
NEER WOMEN'S ORGANIZA-
TION, will hold an "evening of
fun," at 8:30 ,p.m. Thursday,
March 17, at the Rose Sittig
Cohen Bldg. A Purim play will
be followed by refreshments.
Cast members are Irene Kronick,

Cascade, Frieda Fagin, Ann Tay-

MR. AND MRS. MAX EDWARDS
45 years. They have a son, Isa-
dore; a daughter, Miriam Kush-
ner, and three grandchildren.
Mrs. Edwards was born in
Buchanan; Mich., 69 years ago.
Mr. Edwards was born 80 years
ago in Philadelphia. He has been
in the insurance business and for
30 years has been affiliated un-
interruptedly with the New York
Life Insurance Co.
He has been active in Pisgah
Lodge of Bnai Brith, for 27 years
has served as chaplain of Per-
fection Lodge, F. and A.M., and
is known as a book reviewer.
Mr. Edwards had the distinc-
tion of meeting Presdient McKin-
ley four weeks before the latter
was : assassinated.

Madcaps Present Revue
At Northwest Synagogue

The Mezeritcher Madcaps will
present their sixth annual all-
male revue, May 1, at the North-
west Synagogue. Titled "Helza-
Plotzin" it will feature a variety
show of dancing, singing and
comedy acts by the Mezerit-
cher Amateur Actors, under the
direction of Ben Rich. Music for
dancing will be furnished by
Mauri Lax and his orchestra and
refreshments will be available.
Proceeds of this affair, as in the
past eleven years, will be distri-
buted among worthy charities.
