Bnai Brith Adopts $1,070,000 Budget CINCINNATI, (JTA) — A $1,- 070,000 budget was adopted by the Bnai Brith national executive committee for the organization's far-flung 1949 program, including the maintenance of Hillel founda- tions, youth work and vocational service. The action was taken at the final session of the executive committee's annual meeting. Membership stands at 319,000 men and women, and 63 new men's lodges have been formed. The body decided to hold the or- ganization's 1950 triennial con- vention in Washington, D. C. It endorsed the Joint Defense Ap- peal's current drive for $6,826,000 for the civic defense activities of the Anti-Defamation League and the American Jewish Committee. During the sessions a banquet was held to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Bnai Brith lodge. in Cin- cinnati and to honor its honorary president, Alfred M. Cohen.
