Jewish Folk Schools Celebrate
'Hamisha Asar; Register Pupils

On Hamisha Asar b'Shevat,
Monday . evening, pupils in the
Jewish Folk Schools will cele-
brate the Israeli Arbor Day with
a special assembly in the Labor
Zionist Institute, 13722 Linwood.
Hamisha Asar songs and reci-
tations will be on the program
and the children will be served
Palestinian_ fruits.
The children are participating
in the annual project of planting
trees in Israel through the Jew-
ish National Fund. The objectives
. of the JNF are being outlined
for the children, in special pro-
grams.

Monday's program will feature
one of the latest Israeli movies.
Registration of new pupils is
being conducted in the Jewish
Folk Schools. Each class is con-
ducted for an hour and a half,
five days a week. Classes are of-
fered in Bible, Hebrew, Yiddish,
history, music.
There also are classes for adults
in Hebrew on MondayS and
Thursdays. Those interested in
learning or improving their
Hebrews are urged to register at

six months, are now available
