Young Adult Council Sets Up
Community Service Group
The final step in amalgamation of the Junior Service Group
with the' Detroit Jewish Young Adult Council was taken last
Sunday, when the Council delegates amended their constitu-
tion to provide for an enlarged community service committee.
This new group, while under Council auspices, will have
a different character than that of other standing committees,

dramatic group of Chapter I was
held Feb. 1 at the home of Elaine
Mevis, director of dramatics at
Eastern High School. The first
play has gone into production.

The next Council workshop,
planned for March, will be con-
cerned with the Allied Jewish
Campaign.
Feb. 13 to 30 has been set aside
for the first annual exhibition of
original work by young Jewish
artists, under YAC sponsorship,
in the Ginsberg Lounge of the
Jewish Center. The exhibition
will be formally opened at 8
p.m., Feb. 13.
Organizations which have not
yet returned their questionnaires
for the Council organization book-
let are asked to do so immediate-
ly. The booklet, which will de-
scribe the history, purposes and
activities of all Council youth
groups, will be distributed among
non-affiliated young people. A
second booklet, describing the
Council itself, also is being pre-
pared by the Council publicity
committee.
