Reviewing and selecting re-
cordings of Jewish music in the
office of the National Jewish Mu-
sic Council, sponsored by Nation-
al Jewish Welfare Board, for use
by participants in National Jew-
ish 'Music Festival, Feb. 12 to
March 15, in which 1,000 Jewish
Centers, Jewish schools and other
Jewish organizations are plan-
ning to take part.

Goldwater was reelected presi-
dent of the United Jewish Ap-
peal of Greater New York. It
was announced that more than
$52,000,000 have been contributed
to the 1948 campaign in Greater
New York and that this total
represented the gifts of more
han 1,000,000 New Yorkers.

Jewish Mental Patients
Transferred to Jerusalem

Sixty-seven Jewish patients at
the Bethlehem Mental Hospital
were transferred to Jerusalem
where they were put under the
care of the Government Health
Department.
All patients appeared to have
been well cared for in the Beth-
lehem hospital. Dr..Katznelson,
director of the Government
Health Department, expressed
his appreciation to Dr. Dajimni,
director of the Bethlehem Men-
tal Hospital, for the treatment
accorded the patients.
