Mr. and Mrs. Albert A. Davis of Ewald Circle are motoring to
San Bernadino, Calif., where they plan to remain for two months.
Capt. and Mrs. Morris Gibber of Monticello, N. Y., visited here
with their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. David Bussell. During
their Detroit stay they were entertained by other Detroit relatives—
Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Baker, Mr. and Mrs. Sol Penn, Mr. and Mrs.
Albert Levcovitz and Mrs. A. L. Penn.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Snitman will celebrate their 40th wedding
anniversary with an open house Sunday evening, Dec. 26, at their
home, 2447 Fullerton.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Soverinsky and daughter, Marcia, returned
from a six-week stay in Miami Beach, Florida, where they were
the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Hy Sweet of the Winterhaven Hotel.
Mr. and Mrs. A. Rill, of Montreal, who were guests of the Res-
glers of W. Euclid Ave., for the past fortnight, have returned home.
Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Dorb and family are now residing in their
new home on Cherrylawn.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Greenberg of 3874 Boston Blvd. will celebrate
their 12th wedding anniversary at a dinner and Oneg Shabbat at
their home Dec. 31.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kane and mother, Mrs. Sarah Goldman,
are now residing at 4031 Buena Vista.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Krell, who have resided at the Lee Plaza
Hotel, expect to be in their new home at 18675 Washburn Jan. 1.
Among the out of town guests who will attend the marriage
of Mildred Lenhoff to Bernard Glicker, Dec. 26 at Bnai David are
Mrs. R. Harris, Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Harris and son, of Philadelphia;
Mr. and Mrs. Harris of North Carolina and Mr. and Mrs. E. Swartz
, of New York.
Mr. and Mrs. David Sislin were hosts at a reception at the
Labor Zionist Institute last Saturday night in honor of their son-
in-law, Harold Novak, who has been admitted to the Bar of Michi-
gan.
Mrs. Robert J. Newman, chairman of the committee on cam-
paign structure of the Women's Division of the Jewish Welfare Fed-
eration, called the first meeting of the committee at her home on
Canterbury Drive for Friday, Dec. 24. Mrs. Benjamin E. Jaffe is
co-chairman of the committee. Other members are: Mesdames Samuel

Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Kaye and sons, Fred and Marvin, and
daughter, Joyce, of Fairfield Ave. are spending a few weeks in Miami
Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph C. Paul are now residing at 9930 Pice Ave.,
Los Angeles.
Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Greenberg and daughter, Nancy, and son,
llogar, are spending a few weeks in Miami Beach.
Mrs. Edward Wishnetsky and her two children of New York are
visiting with their parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William
'Hordes of Calvert Ave. Mr. Wishnetsky will join them here on Jan.
4 for the wedding of Mrs. Wishnetsky's brother, Herbert Hordes,
fo Nesia Singer.
Belle Greenblatt of Woodingham Dr., whose marriage to Albert
Selter will take place Jan. 2 at the Park Ave. Hotel, was entertained
at showers by her sisters and sister-in-law, Ruth Greenblatt, Mrs.
Jack Sandler and Mrs. Jack Greenblatt.
Virginia Rosenthal is spending her vacation from the University
Of Colorado with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Morey Rosenthal of
Parkside Ave.
Dr. Richard Ellmann, professor of English literature and com-
position at Harvard University, visited here this week with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. James I. Ellmann of Connecticut Ave. Dr.
Ellmann's book, "Yeats: The Man and the Masks," is receiving
nationwide acclaim.
Mesdames Fannie Cooper, Sadie Hertz and Evelyn Hordes Wish-
netzky were hostesses at a miscellaneous shower on Dec. 22 at the
Wardell Sheraton Hotel in honor of Nesia Singer, whose marriage
to Herbert Hordes will take place on Jan. 4.
Sunday night, Jan. 26, Rabbi Leon Frain will travel to Gales-
burg, Ill., to officiate at the wedding of his nephew, Marvin Lang-
haus, and JoAnn Grossman.
Mrs. Augusta Subar and her daughter and son, Adeline and
Seymour, left Wednesday for Rochester, N. Y., to attend the wed-
ding of their son and brother, Elias David Subar to Ruthe Brown,
Dec. 26. Others. of the family attending the wedding are Mr. and
Mrs. Phillip Subar and Mr. and Mrs. David W. Sklash. Following
the wedding, Adeline Subar will leave for a vacation in New York
City. She will . return Jan. 3 to resume her graduate studies at the
Merrill-Palmer School.

mony at Moss' Nov. 28. Rabbi
Stollman officiated.
The bride wore a traditional
gown of white satin trimmed in
seed pearls. A tiara of white
satin held her fingertip veil. She
carried two purple orchids on
a Bible.
Mrs. Harry Siegel, sister of the
bridegroom, served as matron-of-
honor; Rose Hammer, May e
Holtzman and Elaine Shear were
bridesmaids, and Rosalyn Markel,
junior bridesmaid. Harry Siegel
served as best man; Maurice Bet-
man, Jack Erman and Sam Mar-
kel ushered, and Stewart Shear
was junior usher.
The couple honeymooned in
Washington, D. C., and are now
residing at 1646 Glynn Ct.
