'Tickton to Narrate Music
Program of Beth El YPC

An evening of recorded music,
narrated and conducted by Jason
Tickton, will be presented by
the Young People's Club of Tem-
ple Beth El at 8 p.m. Wednesday,
Dec. 8, in the Men's Club Room
at the Temple.
The program will include
"Hebrew Melody of Achron,"
"Overture on Hebrew Themes,"
by Prokoffief; "Jeremiah -Sym-
phony," by Leonard Bernstein,
and "I Hate Music," by Bern-
stein.
All young adults are invited.

planning a program of sports,

and crafts and other cultural and
educational programs based on
the theme, "Freedom."
Members of the group and
other young people are invited to
participate in the camp program.

tory, the Jewish Community
Center is promoting a "GIVE-A-
MEMBERSHIP-GIFT" drive dur-
ing December. The gift member-
ship card will be enclosed in a
gift envelope in keeping with the
spirit of the Hanukah season.

For boys and girls who are
members of the Center, the camp
fee is $2.50, which will include
a daily snack. "Those who are
not members at present may join
at the regular fee for a one-year
membership, $4," says Deena
Zemel, director of the afternoon
camp. "Because of the great de-
mand, we will have to limit at-
tendance to applicants who are
registered by Dec. 17,". she added.
"The camp will begin Monday,
Dec. 27, and meet daily through
Friday, Dec. 31."

Rabbi Kapustin to Begin
Study Groups at Wayne

Beginning in January, Rabbi
Max Kapustin, director of the
Wayne University Hillel Founda-
tion, is planning to lead one or
more study or discussion groups.
The subjects, to be chosen ac-
cording to needs, will be selected
from the following: Jewish phi-
losophy, history, current Jewish
problems, Zionism, literature, in-
troduction to Judaism.

Self-Help's Bazaar
This Saturday Night

Arrangements have been com-
pleted for the numerous features
of the annual bazaar of the De-
troit Chapter of Self-Help, to be
held this Saturday night, Dec. 11,
at the Fort Wayne Hotel.
A "Cafe Parisienne" will be one
of the features of the bazaar,
plans for which have been made
by a committee headed by Fred
Hopfeld and including Mrs. John
J. Leopold, Walter Gottlieb and
Paul Corby.
Proceeds of the event will be
used to aid DPs who will be set-
tled in Israel.
