Bnai Brith Concludes
Aid to Israel Drive

After the successful drive
which netted $500,000 worth of
material for Israel, the Greater
Detroit Bnai Brith Council Aid
to Israel Drive has been con-
cluded.
The Materiel for Israel office,
under the direction of Sally
Fields, will remain at the service
of organizations and individuals
throughout the state.

Ira Hirschmann to Address
PWO Donor Event Monday

"The Alliance in the Holy Land" will be Ira A. Hirschmann's
subject this Monday evening, Dec. _ 6, when he delivers the
principal address at the donor event of the Pioneer Women's
Organization at Masonic Temple.
Hirschmann, who served with the President's War Refugee
Board and as inspector-general for UNRRA, is noted as an

author and lecturer. He is now
president of FM station WABF
in New York.
In addition to his talk, the
donor event will feature inter-
pretative dance artists Katya De-
lakova and Fred Berk, founders
of the Jewish Dance Guild and

Presents Film Program

The annual film night of the
Committee of Taharas Hamish-
pocha of the Detroit Council of
Orthodox Rabbis will be held Sat-
urday evening, Dec. 4, and Sun-
day evening, Dec. 5, at Central
High School.
"The Dibbuk" and "Sons of Li-
berty," the story of Haym Solo-
mon, will be presented. James
Victor is chairman.
Proceeds will go toward the
building fund of the new Mikveh,
to be built at Davison and Hol-
rnur.

Beth El Women to Hear
Third in Review Series

Dr. B. Benedict Glazer will re-
view "Remembrance Rock" by
Carl Sandburg at 11 a.m. Tues-
day, Dec. 7, in the Brown Memor-
ial Chapel of Temple Beth El.
This is the third in Dr. Glazer's
seventh annual book review
series sponsored by the. Sister-
hood of Temple Beth El.

as the Religious School of the
synagogue, and the United He-
brew Schools, is expected to be
