NEW YORK — An extensive
memorandum outlining recent
important developments, on the
expansion of the governing bodies
of the United Palestine Appeal to
include representatives of Jew-
ish communities throughout the
country has been dispatched to
103 Jewish welfare funds in key
cities by Herman L. Weisman,
acting national chairman of 'the
United Palestine Appeal.
Mr. Weisman, who has just
been elected to his new post to
replace Dr. Israel Goldstein, an-
nounced that telegrams had been
sent to these communities re-
questing the appointment of two
representatives from each Wel-
fare fund "for the purpose of
consultation to best implement"
