p.m. Saturday at the hotel, pre-
ceding the opening of the confer-
ence.

Center Opens Courses
In Music, Art, Dancing
A series of cultural programs
for young adults opens this week
at the Jewish Center.
Classes in American and Pal-
estinian folk dancing will be
conducted by Joe Yanich in the
young adult lounge every Mon-
day evening beginning Nov. 15.
Courses in art and music ap-
preciation, with emphasis on
Jewish themes, also are sched-

Junior Service Group
Spurs Chest Campaign
Under the leadership of SAm-
uel Kaner, 10 teams of Junior
Service Group workers have in-
tensified their efforts for the Red
Feather _drive. The ' goal is to
double the amount collected last
year- by JSG. •
The assigned area has been
subdivided into zones with a cap=
taro and a team of 10 workers
assigned to each in the intensive
Jewish neighborhood.
Mr. Kaner said that additional
volunteers who can put in an
hour or two of service can still
be used. Any young adult who
is interested may call him at UN.

first time this• year, under spon-
sorship of the Detroit Jewish
Young Adult Council.
Keynoting the monthlong em-
phasis on current Jewish litera-
ture will be a city-wide youth
rally Wednesday evening, Dec. 1,
at the Jewish Center, when the
Council will present tMaurice
Samuel, outstanding American
Jewish author and lecturer.
In conjunction with the rally,
a display of books published last
year in English, Yiddish and He-
brew is planned. The rally will
be followed up by a series of
four book review meetings, to
be sponsored by member groups
of the Young Adult Council.
Tickets to Samuel's talk may
be obtained from Council officers
and delegates or presidents of
constituent groups.

Michigan BB Council
Votes $50,000 Vehicles
Contribution for Israel
The Michigan Men's Bnai Brith
Council recommended a $50,000
quota of vehicles for the Aid to
Israel Drive, at the meeting Sun-
day in Mr. Clemens. The resolu-
tion was accepted in full by 11
of the 17 out-state lodges. The
others will present it to the mem-
berships at large for action.
Marston Busch of Lansing, Aid
to Israel chairman, made a stir-

fulfillment of what he termed
"the greatest undertaking that the

have for a great many years." He
said this action will not interfere
