To Discuss Great Books

The Young People's Club of
Temple Beth El will open a
series of "Junkets into Judaism"
at 8:15 p.m. this Wednesday in
the men's club room of the
Temple.
Led. by Rabbi Sidney Aksel-
rad, the series will embrace a
discussion of "Four Great Books
that Influenced the World." This
Wednesday's session will be de-
voted to the Bible, with special
emphasis on the Book of Job and
its contemporary application.

leged failure to set up an or-
phans' home and the alleged
failure to provide sufficient lead-
ership for teen-age recreational
activities. The first charge was
dismissed when it was revealed
that the progressive foster home
program sponsored by the Jewish
Social Service Bureau eliminates
the need for a local children's
institution.
In the question of the need for
leadership of teen-age recreation,
the JSG members attending the
meeting decided that the "guilt"
should be attributed to young
Jewish adults, whose ranks
should supply such leaders.
All members of the Junior
Service Group are invited to at-
tend the meeting, which is being
arranged by Samuel Krohn, pro-
gram chairman. Membership
cards, which serve as tickets of
admission to the meeting, may
be obtained at the door by any
young Jewish adult aged 16 to 30.
