Wedding in December

The announcement of the en-
gagement of Eleanor Ensel,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gus
Ensel of 2622 Collingwood Ave.,
Toledo, 0., to Donald M. Silber-
blatt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron
A. Silberblatt of 3311 Chicago
Blvd., Detroit, was made at a
recent family dinner.
Miss Ensel attended Ohio State
University at Columbus, and
Silberblatt is a senior dental stu-

Geraldine Joyce Roth, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Roth of
Taylor Ave, became the bride of
Jack Albert Miller, son' of Mr.
and Mrs. Louis Miller of Hazel-
wood Ave., at a recent candle-
light ceremony at .Beth Tefilo
Emanuel Synagogue.
The bride was attired in tra-
ditional white satin, with lace
edged train. Her veil was Span-
ish mantilla style of the same
lace. She carried a Bible with
white orchids and .stephanotis.
Attending the bride were her
sister, Joan Miller, matron-of-
honor; bridesmaids, her sister,
Shirley Greengood, the bride-
groom's sister, Anita Hecker, and
Ruth Schwartz. Flower girl was
Linda Judith Greengood, the
bride's niece.
David Miller served his broth-
ther as best man and the ushers
were -Ben Greengood, Milton
Hecker and Seymour Milgrom.
The couple honeymooned in
Atlantic city and New York.

Aleichem Sets

Sukkoth Observance

The annual Sukkoth celebra-
tion of the Sholem Aleichem
Institute will be held, at 6:30
p. m. Sunday, Oct. 17, in the large
auditorium of the Workmen's
Circle Center. -
A full-course holiday dinner
will be served. The program con-
sists of a specially-prepared book
containing excerpts from the
traditional holiday prayers as
well as from modern Yiddish and
Hebrew literature.
Singing will form a large part
of the program.

As part of a program to pro-
vide necessary medical equip-
ment for increased medical serv-
ices to residents .of the Jewish
Home for Aged, the Women's
Auxiliary_ of the Home, has pre-
sented to the agency an Iceless
Oxygen Tent and a Viso-Cariette
(a direct writer).
The presentation was made in
behalf of. the Auxiliary by Mrs.
Samuel Weller, president. Other
medical- equipment will be pur-
chased by the organization as
funds become available, Mrs.
Weller said..

class for adult study to be con-
ducted every Sunday morning in
conjunction with the regular
classes at the Schulze public
school.
Purpose of the class is to ac-
commodate parents who bring
their children to Sunday School
and to give them the opportun-
ity to get acquainted with Jewish
history, religion and current
events.
The adult class will be conduCt-
ed by Bernard Panush, principal
of the Sunday School, with the
active assistance of Rabbi Katz,
the newly elected Rabbi of Beth
Aaron Synagogue.
Parents in the northwest sec-
tion, whose children do not at-
tend any Sunday school. are urg-.
ed to register their children at
the Beth Aaron School.
