In order to help Jewish car-

observe the High Holy Days, the
Union of Orthodox Jewish Con-
gregations of America has issued
an appeal to send New Year's

during the Holyday season.
We find Jewish women shop-
ping on the Sabbath for their
apparel and food supplies for the
Holydays, when the Sabbath
supersedes even Rosh Hashanah.
This violates the letter and the
spirit of this sacred season and
we would like to ask all Jewish
women of the community to be
aware of this fact and to do their
shopping and their home prepa-
rations on week days.
