LEVIN-GORNEY: At a Sept.
12 ceremony at the Wilshire
Hotel, Louise Bernadine Gorney,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam
Gorney of Gladstone Ave., and
Hershel Levin, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Eli Levin of Romeo, Mich.,
were united in marriage. '
The bride chose a. street-length
dress of copper satin with brown
accessories. She carried a Bible
adorned with orchids. .
Mrs. Harry Goldsmith was
matron-of-honor and Sharon
Monash, maid-of-honor. Morton
Levin served his brother as
best man and Marty Kaplan vCras
usher.
The couple are honeymooning
in Washington, D.C., New York
and Chicago. They will reside
on Gladstone Ave. .

DRORY - ROSENTHAL: Mr.
and Mrs.- Samuel .Silverman an-
nounce • the marriage of their
niece, Miriam Rosenthal, daugh-
ter of Mrs. Rae Rosenthal of Chi-
cago, to Hyman Drory, formerly
of Palestine. The ceremony took
place Sept. 8. at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Ben Sklar of 1933 Hazel-
wood. Mr. and Mrs. Drory are
residing at 3265 Tuxedo.

Ave., became the bride of Abe
Langwald, son of and Mrs.
Joseph Wiseman of Sturtevant

The bride's gown was fashioned
of heaVy slipper satin with a yoke
of Rosepointe lace. Her three-
quarter length veil of illusion
was held by a crown of seed
pearls. She carried a bouquet of
roses and white orchids.
Her attendants were Mrs. Jean
Rozenblum, matron of honor;
Florence Sherman, Sybil Fish-
nan and Harriet Applebaum,
oridesmaids; Sheila Brody, jun-
or bridesmaid, and Arline Brody,
Flower girl.
Max Langwald was his brot-
'lees best man, and the ushers
were Marvin Green, the bride's
Brother, Marvin Grossman, and
Martin Band. Leonard Lash was
unior usher.
Following the ceremony, dinner
and reception, the young couple
eft for a honeymoon in the East.

The bride was attired in a
gown of ice blue slipper satin
with a long veil of ice blue illu-
sion. She carried a white Bible
with pale pink orchids. Her at-
tendants were her sister, Har-
riet Lewis, maid-of-honor, her
cousin, Deanna Zechman, junior

The young Mrs. Golden is a
graduate of the Grace Hospital
School of Nursing. Her husband
studied at Purdue University and
.the University of Michigan.
After a two-week honeymoon
in New York and Atlantic City,
the newlyweds will be at home
at _ 1219 Locust Ave., 'Fairmont.

and religious discrimination by
colleges and universities is now
in effect in New York. The state
Fair Educational Practices Act
forbids discrimination on the
basis of race, color, creed or na-
tional origin. Only non-sectarian
schools are barred from refusing
to accept a student on account of
his religion.
