ens, Owosso, Petoskey and Port
Huron.

Labor Zion' ist Folk
Schools Continue
To Register Pupils
The kindergarten and grade
school of the Jewish Folk Schools
of the Labor Zionist Organiza-
tion opened Sept. 7.
New afternoon classes for be-
ginners and advanced students
were organized. Registration of
new applicants will continue for
two weeks.
The kindergarten is function-
ing in two separate sessions-9
a.m. to 12 noon, and 1 to 4 p.m.
Bus service is furnished for
"transportation of children from
the public schools and residences
at a distance from the school. The
bus stops at the following schools:
Thirkell, Ci-osman, Brady, Mc-
Kerrow, Winterhalter, McCul-
loch and Roosevelt.
Afternoon classes teach Heb-
rew, Yiddish, Bible, Jewish his-
tory, customs and traditions, holi-
days and current Jewish life, par-
ticularly in Israel.
Special classes are being ar-

Bloch BB Lodge Seeks
Canned Milk at Rally
For Aid-to-Israel Drive
Ivan S. Bloch Lodge of Bnai
Brith will dedicate its rally Mon-
day, Sept. 20, at the Labor Zion-
ist Institute, Linwood and Pasa-
dena, to the Aid to Israel Pro-
gram. A goal of 100 cases of
canned milk has been sent.
Rabbi Moses Lerman of Buf-
falo will be the speaker. Rev.
Joseph Q. Maine, of the Detroit
Round Table of Catholics, Prot-
estants and Jews, and Edward
Swan, executive secretary of the
NAACP also will be on the pro-
gram. The public is invited.
Ernie Curtis is president of the
lodge, Charles Blauer is chair-
man of the group's Aid-to-Israel
program.
