Detroit Hadassah's Annual
$100 Dinner Set for Oct. 2

The second annual $100 dinner of Detroit Chapter of
Hadassah will be held in the Grand Ballroom of Hotel Statler
Saturday 'evening, Oct 2, Mrs. Harry L. Jones, chapter pres-
ident, announced this week. The program, which will include
an address by an internationally famous leader, is being
planned by Mrs. Robert Newman, and reservations are being
taken at the Hadassah office. TY. 8-8216.
Hadassah's 1948 Honor Roll activities began on Tuesday,
at a luncheon meeting at which Mrs. Elsia Klausner-Eskol
of Tel Aviv was guest speaker.
Hadassah has set a goal of $135,000 from Detroit for the
current year. , The budget includes provisions for Youth
Aliyah, the settlement of refugee children in Israel; the
Jewish National Fund, support of the Hadassah medical ser-
vices and the child welfare program.

of Israel and their father is doing guard duty in Israel's defense.
Hadassah has 52 welfare stations for children of all creeds who are
cared for by prominent pediatricians. A mental and physical hygiene
program is pursued in the schools and 45 playgrounds are supervised
by Hadassah.
