Miss Rae Goldrich of Buena Vista Ave. has returned from a
motor trip to California.
Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Goldberg, formerly of the Wilshire Hotel,
are now residing in New York.
Dr. and Mrs. H. Herbert Cohen and daughters, Brenda and Yo-'
landa, returned from Ft. Worth, Tex., where they attended the dou-
ble wedding of their nephew, Harold Cohen, to Shirley Garston, and
their niece, Beverly Cohen, to R. D. Moses.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kapetansky were honored by the Smith
Family Club at a buffet supper Sunday, Sept. 11, on the occasion of
their 35th wedding anniversary.
Mrs. Morrey Shepherd and daughters, Lorraine and Judy of
Cortland Ave., have returned from Port Huron and Lexington, where
they spent the month of August.
Mr. and Mrs. Mac Cushman of 2724 Webb are vacationing in
California. They will return Oct. 15.
Madeleine Brodie of Chicago Blvd. will entertain at a cocktail
.party Saturday, Sept. 18, in honor of Elaine Hecht of Bristol, Va.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Jacobson, formerly of Calvert Ave., are now
residing in their new home at 3806 Leslie.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Steiner and children of Elmhurst Ave.
spent the Labor Day week-end in South Haven.
Miss Ruthe Katz, September bride-elect, was entertained at a
spinster dinner at the home of Edythe Bonin, and at a shower at the
Wonder Bar by Harriet Keller.
Miss Libby Hirsch has returned to her home in Tucson, Ariz.,
after a two months' visit in Detroit. While here, Miss Hirsch was
entertained by Mr. and Mrs. Jay Lieberman, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob
Silberstein and the Misses Lorraine Lutsky, Esther Migdal, Anita
Reitman and Ruth Shusterman.
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Limond have returned from their summer
home and are now residing at 18285 Oak Dr.
Betty Shulman of Pasadena Ave. has returned from a vacation
at the Waldemere, Livingston Manor, N. Y., and New York City.
Mrs. J. R. Bennett of Pittsburg, Kan., has returned home after
visiting with her daughters, Ilene and Janis Bennett of the Belcrest
Hotel.
Belle Moskowitz has returned from California, where she at-
tended the convention of the American Pharmaceutical Association,
held in San Francisco, and visited her brother-in-law and sister, Mr.
and Mrs. Joseph Brown of Los Angeles.
Mr. and Mrs. Abbe Levi and David Levi and Judge and Mrs.
Theodore Levin were in Toronto on Tuesday to attend the marriage
of their niece and cousin, Judith Godfrey.
Mr. and Mrs. Allen Sloan and son, Arthur, of Santa Clara Ave.
returned from a five-week stay in California. They were met in
Chicago over the week-end by their daughter and son-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. Raymond Kanfer, and motored home together.
Miss Ellen Jung, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Moses Jung of New
York, is the guest of her cousins, Mr. and Mrs. David Levi of 9306
Wildemere Ave.
Mrs. Isaac Gilbert of Boston Blvd. has returned from Charlevoix,
where she spent the summer months. Her sister, Mrs. Harry New-
man of Lawrence Ave., who was her guest for the last few weeks,
returned with her.
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Fleischaker of West Eight Mile Rd. have
returned from Clifty Falls, Ind., and Louisville, Ky., where they
visited with members of their family.
Mr. and Mrs. Abraham J. Levin and sons of Franklin, Mich.,
have returned from their stay in Hilton Beach, Ont.
. Dr. Willard Mayer, his daughter, Rosalie, and son, Martin, of
Boston Blvd. have returned from a visit in Denver.
Mrs. Arthur Spiegel of Chicago spent the last week as the guest
of her sister, Mrs. Leo M. Franklin of Edison Ave. and her brother-
in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Melville Welt of Balmoral Dr.
.. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Robinson of Chicago Blvd. returned Mon-
day from Charlevoix, where they spent the summer.
Marianne Shapero, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nate Shapero of
Strathcona Dr. left for Wellesly, Mass., where she will matricu-
late at Wellesly College.
Jerry Shroder, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Shroder of Birming-
ham, has left to resume his studies at Princeton University, Prince-
ton, N. J.
Joan Field, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Field of Roslyn
Rd., has left for New Orleans, where she will matriculate at Sophie
Newcomb College.
David Kreger left Tuesday for Oberlin, 0., where he will matri-
culate at Oberlin University. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. V.
Kreger of Wildemere Ave.
Edith Finsterwald, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maier Finsterwald
of Parkside Ave., has left for Illinois, where she will take up her
studies at Frances Schimer College for Women.
Leah Crohn left Sunday for New York, where she plans to con-
tinue her musical studies. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence
Crohn of • Wildemere Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bearman of Santa Barbara Dr. have re-
turned from their vacation in Atlantic City.

Beth Aaron Sisterhood's major
fund-raising event for the year
will be a luncheon at 12:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 3, at Bel-Aire
Terrace Room, according to Mrs.
Sam Schneider, president.
The group's plans for the sea-
son include support for Israel,
as well as aid to the synagogue,
