that almost half the delegates at
the States Rights Democrats'
convention in Birmingham last
month were connected with such
hate organzations as the Ku Klux
Klan, , the Anti-Jewish Party,
Gerald L. K. Smith's Christian
Nationalist Crusaders and other
similar groups were made. in a
statement by Friends of .Dernoc-
racy Inc.
The Friends of Democracy bul-
letin reported earlier, however,
that States Rights Presidential
Candidate, Governor J. Strom
Thurmond, of South Carolina,
strongly repudiated any support
from Smith and other lunatic
fringes who sought to hop on
the bandwagon at the southern-
ers' rump convention in Phila-
delphia.

Gets Death Sentence
WARSAW, (JTA) - Friedrich
Kuczynski, who during the Nazi
occupation of Poland was as-
signed the job of liquidating the
entire Jewish population of
Upper Silesia, was sentenced to
death in the Sosnewice district
court for responsibility for the
murder of more than 100,000 Po-
lish Jews.

new law under which anti-Jew-
ish propaganda is treated as a
punishable offense, a district
court in Vaslui sentenced four
local residents to four months of
