Candlelight Ceremony

Marilyn 'Kaplan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Kaplan of
Pasadena Ave. has returned from an extended stay in New York
City, where she attended the Juillard School of Music.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Linden were honored at a series of parties
celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. J. Stewart
Linden and family entertained at dinner at Pine Lake Aug. 17; Mr.
and Mrs. Joseph Lindelt.„ ---) family of Owosso held a dinner at

Mrs. Nathan Fishman of 3411 Sherbourne Rd., have returned
from a week's stay in New York City.
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Ansel and family have moved to their
new home at 19300 Monica Ave.
Betty Levant, of 2726 Leslie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max
Levant of Gabon, 0.. has set Oct. 31 as the date of her marriage
to Paul Sills, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Sills of 2754 Calvert. The
wedding will take place in Detroit.
Mr. and Mrs. Abe Boesky and family have returned from a stay
in Atlantic City. They were accompanied by their daughter and son-
in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Meyer Cohen of Dumbarton Road.
The Misses Rosella Boesky, Frances Freed, Edith Cantor, Joan
Brawer and Frieda Sains have returned from a stay at Montieth
Inn and Toronto, Canada.
Rabbi and Mrs. Walter H. Plaut of Fargo, N. D., are visiting
their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Yanich of Leslie Ave. They have
just completed their third season as directors of Herzl Camp in
Webster, Wis. Their brother, Joe Yanich, a member of the counsellor
staff at Herzl Camp, also has returned to Detroit.
Mrs. Nathan Sloss of Chicago is the guest of her brother-in-law
and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Irving Hirschmann of Whitmore Rd.
Dr. and Mrs. Frank Seinsheimer of Cincinnati are spending the
holiday week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Fecheimer
of Monterey Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ginsburg and daughter, Mignon, of Chicago
left this week for a short stay in Charlevoix, where they will be
joined by their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis,Ruskin
of Chicago.
Mrs. A. M. Hershman of Calvert Ave. returned from New York,
where she spent a few days visiting with her daughters, Ruth and
Eiga, and attended the marriage of her nephew, Max Lewin-Epstein,
to Joan Meryl Mandel, at the Essex House last Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Cohen of Calvert Ave. left on Monday for
Coral Gables, Fla., where they plan to make their home.
Mr. and Mrs. David Wilkus of Boston Blvd. are visiting in
New. York.
Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Michel of Boston Blvd. returned from
Cleveland, where they motored to meet their daughter, Julie, who
returned from a camp in Maine. Susan Klein of Chicago Blvd. ac-
companied them.
Mr. and Mrs. DeRoy Kuttnauer of Birchcrest Dr. are expected
home this week-end from a motor tour through northern Michigan
and Wisconsin. •
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Simons and daughters, Mary Lou and
Susan, of Parkside Ave. and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Michelson and
their daughter and son of Strathcona Dr. returned from a few days'
visit in Buffalo and Niagara Falls.
Henry Meyers and daughter, Joan, of Lincolnshire Dr. left last
Sunday for Seattle, where he will attend the meeting of the Ameri-
can Bar Association.
Miss Elaine Krell of Cortland Ave. hat- returned from an ex-
tended stay in Frankfort.
Dr. and Mrs. Leighton Steele - have moved from Monterey Ave.
and are now residing at 17765 Manderson Rd.
Mr. and Mrs. James Rachliff and children, Mitzi and Marshall,
returned from an extended stay at Omena, Mich.
A spinster dinner in honor of Elaine Siden was given by Lois
Goldenberger in her home in Glynn Ct. on Tuesday. Miss Siden's
fiance, Martin Mattler, was tendered a bachelor,'s dinner by a group
of his friends at the Stockholm on Aug. 26. The marriage will take
place this Sunday. .
- Mrs. David Curtis and daughter, 'Shirley Mae, of Clairmount
Ave. returned home after spending two weeks in Memphis, Tenn.,
and Clarksdale, Miss., where they attended the Gordon-Freidlander
wedding.
Mr. and Mrs. Bert L. Smoklfr of Prairie Ave. are spending a
week in New York where they are guests at the Honpshire House.
Mr. and Mrs. Philip C. Kane and daughters, Adele and Cyrille,
returned to their home on Glynn Ct. from an extended motor trip
through northern Michigan and Canada. Enroute home they were
guests at Charlevoix for one week.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Ruskin and daughters, Marian and Doris,
of Woodingham Drive returned from a week's stay at Edgewater
Beach Hotel, Chicago.
Miss Judy Pregerson of Webb Ave. returned from a several
weeks' stay in Hollywood, Calif.

The bride wore a white faille
gown resembling an Edwardian
Queen's robe. Her full length veil

by a cap of chantilly lace. She
carried a mother of pearl bible
adorned with white orchids.
The maid of honor was Estelle
Zupnitski.
The bridesmaids were Mrs.
Maurice Hauser, Beatrice Frank
and Bernice Tobor.
Leonard Krim was best man.
Sol Pokart, Bernard Zupnitski
and Bernard Freedman ushered
Nina Hauser was junior brides-
maid. Joan' Hauser was flower
girl, and Mark 'Hauser, ring
bearer.
After the ceremony ?. dinner
dance was held at the Hotel
Statler.
The out-of-town guests were
from Chicago, Flint, Port Huron,
Massachusetts, Florida and In-
diana.
After a three-week motor trip
to Miami Beach, the couple will
live in Detroit at 2911 Monterey.

day, Aug. 28, at Shaarey Zedek.

at the wedding, assisted by Can-
tor Jacob Sonenklar. The recita*-

blessings followed the ceremony
proper.
The bride was attended by
Mrs. Dorothy Lovett of New

Ruben Kurnetz, bridesmaids, and

Ronald Milinsky served his
brother as best man, and the
ushers were Dr. Ruben Kurnetz,

Ashkenazy, junior usher.
After the wedding dinner, the
young couple left for their
honeymoon in Canada and New
England. Upon their return they
will reside on Rochester Ave.
