Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Schiller, their daughter, Ellen, and sons,
Richard and Lawrence, of Littlefield Ave. left on Tuesday for Tulsa,
Okla., where they plan to make their home. Her mother, Mrs. Leon
Schembeck of Monte Vista Ave., accompanied them for a short stay.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Lieberman of Birchcrest Dr. left Friday on
'a motor tour through northern Michigan.
Miss Margery Brown of Wildemere Ave. left for California
where she will visit with members of her family.
Mrs. Simon Shetzer of W. Chicago Blvd. has returned from a
few weeks' stay in Martinsville, Ind.
Leon Winkelman and sons, Fred and Jack, of Fairfield Ave.
left on their cruiser "Josephine" for Northern Michigan. They will
visit Mrs. Winkelman's mother, Mrs. Henry Rosenblum in Gladstone.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Cohane of Highland Ave. are on an extende•
visit in California and will attend the meeting of the American Bar
Association in Seattle before returning home.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Leichtling and their daughter, Sharon, of
Oakman Blvd, returned from a three weeks' stay in Florida.
Mrs. David Benson, her daughter, Sharon, and son, Ronald, of
Northlawn Ave. returned from Atlantic City where they spent the
summer.
Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Krell Jr. of Cortland Ave. returned from
a visit in Northern Michigan which included Frankfort, Charlevoix
and Harbor Springs.
Mrs. Armin Hartman and small daughter, Mary Katherine, are
spending the week in Flint_as the guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
George Fischman. --'
Miss Freda Rosenthal of the Seward Apt. Hotel returned on
Sunday from a few weeks' stay in Gloucester, Mass.
• Dr. and Mrs. Maurice Floch have as their guest Miss Florence
Shapero of New York.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Blumenthal and their sister, Mrs. Hanah
Roberts of Littlefield Ave., returned from a week's stay in Charle-
voix. Their daughter, Joyce, who left a few weeks previous, ac-
companied them home.

Zager Chapter Reports
Theater Party Success

.

Through the cooperation of
members and friends, the theater
party held in July by the Mandel
M. Zager Lodge and .Women's
Chapter of Bnai Brith met with
great success, chapter officers
report.
Proceeds went toward purchase
of a jeep and a supply of pow-
dered milk for Israel. The jeep
was displayed last week at Bag-
ley and Grand Circus Park and
may now be seen at Davison
and Dexter.
The chapter's first meeting of
the season will be at 8:30 p. m.
Wednesday, Sept. 1, at Bnai
Moshe Synagogue. Mrs. Yetta
Yates will speak and the budget
for the year will be reviewed.

Mr. and Mrs. Chajes Give
9 Concerts at DP Camps

Mr. and Mrs. Julius Chajes
(Marguerite Kozenn) last week
appeared in nine concerts in dis-
placed persons camps in Italy.
Their first concert was in the
Monte Mario which was the sum-
mer place of Goering but is now
a hospital for DPs, most of them
from Poland.
Mr. and Mrs. Chajes have
visited 12 cities in six countries.
They plan a number of additional
concerts for DPs before returning
