Obituaries

LOUIS R. COHN, 62, president
of Conn's Clothes Shop, a native
of Harrisburg, Pa., died Aug. 17
of a heart attack in Munising,
Mich. Funeral services were held
last Friday at Lewis Bros. Burial
was in Beth El Cemetery. Surviv-
ing are his wife, Julie; four bro-
thers, Philip, Jacob, David and
Abraham, and a sister, Mrs. Jos-
eph Brawerman. Mr. Cohn was
a miner in his youth, came to De-
troit in 1922 and started his busi-
ness venture with $175. His will
provides for thepale of the stock
in his store within a year. Mrs.
Cohn and Max Osnos were nam-
ed co-executors.

Stoepel, died Aug. 20. Services
were held at Kaufman Chapel
with Rabbi Isaac Stollman and
Cantor P. Slavensky officiating.
She leaves her husband, Samuel;
two sons, Norman and Larry; her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hyman
Chestnut; a brother, Ben Chest-
nut. Interment, Ma c hp e lah

MRS. ANNIE HERMAN, 76, of
Toronto, died Aug. 23. She is sur-
vived by two soils, John R. of De-
troit and Harry of New York; two
daughters, Mrs. Ray Maldaver of
Toronto and Mrs. Ruth Allender
of Detroit; five grandchildren,
and six great grandchildren.

SGT. MILTON S. COHEN, who
was killed in action March 4,
1945, in France, at the age of 21,
was reburied at Cloverhill Park
Cemetery. Funeral services were
conducted by Dr. A. M. Hersh-
man, Rabbi- Goldman and Cantor
Hyman Adler, at Lewis BroS-.,
with military rites led by the Ju-
lius Rosenwald Post of the Amer-
ican Legion. A graduate of North-
ern High School, Sgt. Cohen at-
tended Wayne University. He is
survived by his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Cohen of 2985 Leslie;
brothers Sidney and Herman, and
a sister, Edith.

held at the Ira Kaufman Chapel

ficiating. She is survived by her
husband, Harry; two sons, Louis
