Registration Opens
For LZOA School

Kindergarten and elementary
classes of the Folk Schools of the
Labor Zionist Organization will
reopen Tuesday, Sept. 7, with a
full qualified staff under the di-
rection of Wolf Snyder.
Two separate sessions are
scheduled for the kindergarten
group. Special bus service is pro-
vided for transportation of chil-
dren from the public schools and
residences at a great distance
from the school.
The elementary classes include
Hebrew, Yiddish, Bible, Jewish
history, customs, holiday and
music, and current Jeivish life,
particularly in Israel. Special
classes are being arranged for
boys of Bar Mitzvah age.
Registration is conducted daily
except Saturday, from 9 a. m. to
5 p. m., at the school, 13722 Lin-
wood, TO. 8-9280.

NEW YORK—Ten young men
and women, forming a special
"Friendship Mission of Israeli
Youth" to the United States, left
by air this week from Israel for
America to embark on a special
tour in behalf of the $250,000,000
United Jewish Appeal, it was an-
nounced by Henry Morgenthau,
Jr., -general chairman.
Under the emergency regula-
tions in Israel, all of the mem-
bers of the Israeli delegation,
consisting of five young men and
five young women, have been
serving in the Defense Army of
the Jewish State, but Prime Min-
ister David Ben Gurion of Israel
has authorized a special leave for
the group to visit the United
States.
