Center Softball
Team Wins Class
'B' Championship

• With its recent victory, the
Center's Varsity Softball Team
is now Division Champ of the
City Recreation League in Class
"B" competition.
Some of the scores to date are:
Varsity 13, Mercury 3; Varsity
15, Jamaicans - 0; Varsity 4,
Western Electric 3; Varsity 5,
Ranucci 3. This league played
regularly at Roosevelt Field on
Monday nights.
Maurice Stotzky, coach, an-
nounces that the Varsity also
has made the Playoff League,
which meets each Thursday at
the same field.
The group will make a trip to
Cincinnati to compete in the
Mid-west's All-Jewish Center
Tournament. The team, to date,
has made a record of 21'wins
and two defeats.

registration stations.
Registrations 'will be accepted
at Northern High School, Wood-
ward and Josephine; Custer
School, Linwood and Midland,
and police precinct stations at
Petoskey and Joy Rd. and Wood-
ward and Seven Mile Rd.
These stations will be open
from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 23,
24 and 25. City Hall will be
open for registration from 8 a.m.
to 4:45 p.m. regularly and until
9 p.m. on those three days.
