In addition to the 115 per cent increase in their individual gifts
the Allied Jewish Campaign over their 1947 pledges, members
of the Harry B. Keidan Lodge of Bnai Brith have voted a treasury
gift of $1,000 to the drive.
Presentinig the check to ISIDORE SOBELOFF (left), executive
director of the Jewish Welfare Federation, were HERBERT V. ROL-
LINS, financial secretary of the lodge (center), and SAMUEL C‘
KOVAN, president.
The treasury gift represents an increase of 1000 per cent over
the lodge pledge of last year and also represents the group's coop-
eration with the general Bnai Brith resolution of this spring promising
full cooperation to the 1948 Allied Jewish Campaign. Bnai Brith
groups to date have made treasury gifts representing nearly 900 per
to
cent increase as compared with last year's pledges. Responsibility for
solicitation of new prospects within the lodges was also taken by
The Bnai Brith, under the leadership of Louis Barden.
