a candlelight ceremony at the
NorthWesf SynagOgue, Rosalyn
Claire Weinbaum, daughter of
Mr._ and, Mrs. Daniel Weinbaum
of Pennington Dr. became the
bride of Manuel Katzman,' son of
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Katzman of
Chatham, Ontario.
The bride was gowned in ivory
satin with a fitted bodice and
sleeves of Chantilly lace. Her
fingertip veil of illusion fell from
a tiara of Chantilly lace. She
carried a white Bible with white
ordchids.
Mrs. Philip Sherman, sister of
the bridegroom, was matron-of-
honor and Rita Fox was maid-of-
honor. The bridesmaids were
Joan Stevens and Mrs. Harold .
Langberg, with Sheila Wein-
baum, sister of the bride, and
Ruth Katzman, sister of the
bridegroom, junior bridesmaids,

Ruth Harriet Furstenberg and
Charles Koven were united in
marriage" at a. candlelight cere-
mony at the Sheraton Hotel Sun-
day, May 9. Rabbi Morris Adler
officiated, assisted by Cantor Hy-
man Adler. .
The bride is the daughter of
ME and Mrs. Maurice Fursten-
berg. Her husband's parents are
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Iskowitz.
Mrs. Philip Lachman, cousin
of the bride, was matron-of-hon-
or. The bridesmaids were Renee
Joseph, Mrs. Morris Finke, Mrs.
Sol Moglovkin and *Mrs. Herbert
Rosenberg. Sola Jane Hamburger
was junior bridesmaid for her
cousin.
Samuel Koven • served his
brother as best man. The ushers
were Jerome Furstenberg, Jor-
dan Lachman, Louis Tubbin and
Howard Ehrlichman.
A dinner and reception follow-
ed,' after which the newlyweds
left for a honeymoon in New
York City.
Mr. and Mrs. Koven are resid-

Mrs. Julius Dorfman of Water-
bury, Conn., announce the coming
marriage of their daughter, Con-
stance Anne, to Edwin J. Jacob;

Miss Dorfman is a senior at
Radcliffe College. Her fiance was

MRS. HARRY BARNETT-
ated with Mrs. Barnett in the
special gifts section of the wo-
men's phase of the 1948 Allied
Jewish Campaign.
'Active in the division since its
formation, Mrs. Barnett has a
well-informed, clear understand;
ing of the community needs and
causes that brought the Division
into being, and she is willing to
do whatever jobs are necessary
to support those causes and to
answer those needs. What makes
•her an important cog in: the di;
vision wheels is her truly unusu-
al .sense for detail, the • same
quality that enables her to do
beautifully finished embroidery,
monogramming and knitting.
In the year-round. program of
the Women's Division, Mrs. Bar--
nett has accepted the_ Same type
of assignments She took in the
campaign, when she was a sec-
retary in special gifts, as well as
a solicitor. The rest of the year
she is a faithful member of the
office committee, giving a full
day a week to working on di-
vision records.
Mrs. . Barnett is a: native of
Cleveland, where • she attended
Western Reserve University's
Teachers' College. She has lived
in Detroit for the past 23 years
and has been active in organiza-
tional work through her rem-
bership in Hadassah for most of
that time.
