ing in to the office of the
Zionist Organization of Detroit,
Harry Cohen, chairman of the
1948 L i b'e r at i o n Membership
Campaign, declared that final.
tabulation has not yet been made
as to the results of the Libera-
tion Day Campaign on May 16,
but that to date the 'figure ex-
ceeds 1350 new members. _
Continuing under the impetus
of the drive, special committees
have been formed in business and
professional groups, including a
physicians' committee, under the
chairmanship of Dr. Bernard
Weston; a dentists' committee,
with Dr. Moe S. Perlis as chair-
man; a businessmen's committee,
with Sidney L. Brand • as chair-
man, and • a lawyers' committee,'

The Junior Division Allied
Jewish Campaign officially closed
May 26 with a total of $83,675—

$75,000 and 83% of the increased
quota of $100,000 set by the cam-
paign committee on May
Approximately 500 slips of a
total of 12,240 assigned to the
Junior Division are still out-
standing. Junior Division leaders

turned in daily by workers who
have previously been unable to
reach their prospects. The final
report meeting on May.26, at the
Shaarey Zedek, brought in ap-
proximately $2,000.
Workers are requested either
to bring . their outstanding slips
