The Parent-Teachers' organiza-
tions of the several branches of
the United Hebrew Schools are
completing plans for final meet-
ings of the season.
Central branch P-TA will hold
a social and cultural meeting
Wednesday evening, June 9, at the
Rose Sittig Cohen Bldg. The pro-
gram will include a talk on Lag
b'Omer by Mrs. E. Thav, customs
and ceremonies of Shevuot by
Mrs. A. Dorfman, and community
singing led by Moe Kesner.
A musical program will be
given by the Parkside parents'
organization Wednesday, June 2.
A. Roberg, branch principal, will
discuss the work of the school.
Beth Aaron branch will meet at
1 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, at the
home of the president, Mrs. Oscar
Gorelick, 19340 Lesure. Albert
Elazer, associate superintendern
of the UHS, and Morris Lachover,
principal of the Beth Aaron
school, will discuss Jewish educa-
tion in the light of the new de-
velopments in the Republic of
Israel.
The .Bagley Branch met at the
home of Mrs. Ben Mossman,
where M. Michlin, principal, spoke
on Shevuot.
Philadelphia-Byron P-TA will
meet Monday evening, June 21, at
the school. Leah Pike and Israel
Elpern will present their classes
in dramatic entertainment. Elec.-
ton of officers also will be held.
M. Lachover, principal, will talk
on the curriculum of the United
Hebrew Schools.

Summer Rates
Summer membership rates for
three months are in effect at the
Jewish,Communty Center, it was
announced by Iz Rosenberg,. mem-
bership director.
Memberships may be taken out
between June 1 and July 15, and
at the end of the three month
period, the _membership may be
converted into a full membership
by payment of the difference be-
tween the two rates.
Available to all members this
summer will be a 'wide program
of swimming, concerts, outdoor
dances, hayrides, picnics and par-
ties.
The summer membership rate
schedule is as follows: Women's
Health Club, $12; business and
professional (men 26 and over),
$8.50; senior (male) 21 to 25, $5;
senior (female) 18 and over, $4;
and sub-senior (male) 18-20,
$3.50.
Louis Marshall Lodge and
.Auxiliary, Bnai Brith, will hold a
joint installation of
officers
Wednesday evening, June 2 at
the Workmen's Circle.
Dr. Lawrence Yaffa will be in-
stalled as president of the men's
group and Mrs. Joseph Rodman
is the new president of the wo-
men's chapter. Jess Feller, past
president of the Michigan Bnai
Brith Council, w?.11 act as in-
stalling officer for the men. Mrs.
Jack J. Hartstein, member of the
general committee of Women's
District Grand Lodge No. 6 will
install the women.
