Three Top Hollywood Stars Appear In New United Jewish Appeal Films Three of Hollywood's top- ranking personalities — Glenn Ford, Edward G. Robinson and Robert Ryan — are the stars in three new documentary film shorts which haVe just been com- pleted by Columbia Pictures and the RKO Radio Pictures studios in behalf of. the $250,000,000 United Jewish Appeal. The films, which will be shown in New York and 600 other cities throughout the country, depict dramatic highlights of the relief, rehabilitation and resettlement programs carried on in Europe, Palestine and the United States, respectively, by the. Joint Dis- tribution Committee, United Pal- estine Appeal and United Service for New Americans. Two of the films—"Where Do You Get Off?" starring Robinson, and "Make It Real," with Ford in the central role—were pro- duced at Columbia Pictures, whose fgcilities were made avail- able to the UJA through the cooperation of Benjamin P. Ka- hane, Columbia vice-president. These filmS were written and produced by' William Bloom, as- sistant to Kahane, and directed by Henry Levin. The other film,.
