For Hashofar Musicale

The - next home musicale of
"Hashofar" Society for the Ad-
vancement of Jewish Music will
be held Sunday evening, May 23,
at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Jack Malamud, 4092 Sturtevant.
Mrs. Sol Q. Kesler will be
chairman of the evening. Cantor
Hyman Adler and Odell Small,
contralto, will be heard in Yid-
dish and Hebrew songs, assisted
at the piano by Vivian Kozenn.
Shirley Subar Sklash will lead in
group singing.
Refreshments will be served.
The musicale is open to members
and their friends.

The choral group of the -Sis-

brew Congregation will present
a group of songs. The following
women are in the choir:

of `!Hillelujah", Wayne UniverS-
ity Hillel Foundation variety
show, will go on stage at 8:30
p.m. Wednesday, May 26, at the
Cass Tech high school -auditor-
ium.
Directed by Al GoldStein and
Carl Thom, the show will feature
a one-act musical comedy, "The
New Me," written by Norman
Wexler and Morton Zieve, in-
cluding three original songs,
"Once in Your Life," "Don't

Try to Understand a Woman,"
and the title song.
It will star Ruben Silver and
Fanny Kaner at the Wayne Uni-
versity Theater, Rena Basin of
the Detroit Opera Guild and Al
Goldstein. Piano solos will be by
Walter Levine.
For the Second successive year,
Bernie Mintz and his orchestra
will provide the music .for the
show. Allan Vinocur and David
Klavons will emcee, and vocalist
Herbert - .Stoorman also will be
featured.
The entire Jewish community,
especially members of Bnai
Brith , groups, are invited to at-
tend the show. "Hillelujah" tick-
ets are available at the Hillel
Foundation or at the door the
night of the show.
