Plans for an Intersynagogue
League for athletic activities have
• been initiated by.- Cong. Bnai
DiVid, as an outgrowth --of its
program for boys of Bar Mitzvah
'age.
The program began last fall as
a three-fold project: Saturday
and Sunday morning Minypnim,
conducted by the boys; Sunday
. morning breakfasts, at which Rab-

series of athletic activities for the
boys..
The program is directed by a
committee of the synagogue board
and the Bnai David Melys Club.
Beginning with 25 boys, it has
grown to 46 members, many of
whoin are from other congrega-
tions.

playing basketball in the Central
High gym, meeting teams from
Young Israel, Temple Beth El and

The entire Bnai David Religi-
ous School participated in the
celebration of Passover at a model
seder April 18. Children repre-
senting each grade participated in
the conducting of the Seder.
The model seder was utilized
as the religious school's part in
the Allied Jewish Campaign. . A
Sunday prior to the opening of
the school drive, all parents were
invited to an assembly at which
children would be asked to con:
tribute. Each class had formed a
committee in charge of solicita-
tion. The drive opened at the
seder and will continue until
May 9.

a dramatization based upon the
life of Henry Monsky, late presi-
dent of Bnai Brith, to mark the
first aniversary of his death,

Masonic Groups to Be Hosts at 1948
Three-Faith Inter-Fraternal Banquet

Detroit Masonic groups will be
hosts this year at the annua,
inter-fraternal banquet of the
Knights of Columbus, Bnai Brith
and Masons, Wednesday evening,
May 12, at Masonic Temple.
The 'inner is sponsored an-
nually by the Detroit Round Table
of Catholics, Jews and Protest-
ants, to engender good will and
a spirit of friendly cooperation
between the fraternal orders.
One of the highlights of the
dinners is the presentation of the
Probus Club award, which is
made annually by this Jewish
luncheon group to the person,
contributing the most to inter-
racial relations. The 1948 award
goes to Rev. Joseph Q. Mayne,
