Eastern European Jews
Refuse Repatriation
In Fear of Anti-Semitism

WASHINGTON (JTA) - Esti-
mating the possibilities of re-
patriating Jewish refugees in
Germany and Austria, a report
of the Senate Judiciary Commit-
tee on the DP situation in Europe
states that Jews from Poland,
Hungary and Romania refuse to
return to their former countries
of residence because of fear of
anti-Semitism which, the report
says, was intensified by the Ger-
man occupation of Poland.
