Tickets Going Fast for Menashe
Skulnik's Show at Masonic May 9
Tickets are going fast for the
mammoth show which will star
Menashe Skulnik in his New
York success, "Meine Glicken," in
the main auditorium of Masonic
Temple on Sunday evening, May
9 (Mother's Day), Abraham Litt-
man announced this week.
Mr. Sk-ulnik's comedy will be
presented here for only one per-
formance and it is urged that re-
servations for the show , be made
at once.
Known as the "King of Laugh-
ter," Mr. Skulnik, who starred
on the English as well as the
Yiddish stage and on the radio
is one of the theater's most popu-
lar performers.
In leading roles in the show,
assisting Mr. Skulnik, will be
Lillie Liliana, Leon Liebgold,
Rosa Wallerstein, Yetta Zwer-
ling and Anna Teitelbaum, and
a large supporting cast, together
with the original New York bal-
let and chorus and the orchestra

City College of New York, 1936
to 1941; became chief life guard
and instructor at Rockaway,

Scouts in Brooklyn, and coached
swimming in the Worcester,
Mass., Y. M. C. A.

to give $75,000 to the 5th annual
UNITED COLLEGE FUND this
year, as its share in the $1,400,-
000 national quota, it was an-
nounced by Charles H. Mahoney,
general chairman. This money
will help meet the current operat-
ing expenses of the 32 accredited
private Negro colleges participat-
ing in the Fund.
