To See Fashion Show
At Benefit Luncheon

be given Tuesday, May 25, at
Masonic Temple by the Women's
Auxiliary of the Maimonides
Medical Society.'

present a book review.
Members are asked to bring
clothing and medical supplies for
shipment overseas.

Sunday, May 16, has been de-
signated as Zionist Mobilization
Day by the Zionist Organization
of America, and the occasion
will be observed by local Zion-.
ists, Morris M. Jacobs, president
of the Zionist Organization of
Detroit, stated.
In line with the national pro-
clamation, the Detroit organiza-
tion has set aside the period of
April 23 to May 16 as a Zionist
mobilization period for • the en-
rollment of new members.
On May 16, all Detroit homes
will be visited to enlist mem-
bers, thus mobilizing added sup-
port for the Jewish State which
is to begin to function on that
day, Mr. Jacobs stated.
Volunteer workers will meet
on the morning of May 16 for
breakfast at the Rose Sittig Co-
-hen Bldg., and from there will
proceed to enlist supporters for
the Zionist movement. Daniel
Frisch will address a mass meet-
ing which will conclude the day's
events.
Harry Cohen is honorary
chairman of the mobilization ef-
fort. Those desiring to volun-
teer as workers are asked to
call the Zionist office.

World Information Parley
To Bar Racist Propaganda

GENEVA, (JTA) — A resolu-
tion aimed at presenting the dis-
semination of information fo-
menting racial and national hat-
red was adopted at the World
Conference on Freedom of In-
formation by a committee which
is preparing a code for freedom
of the press.
The resolution urges member
states of the United Nations to
take "appropriate measures to
encourage the broadest dissemin-
ation of such information cal-
culated to develop friendly rela-
tions between races and nations
based on the objectives and prin-
ciples of the UN Charter.

The Model Seder was filmed by
Detroit News Reel on Wednesday,
for presentation Friday.

Along with the presentation of
the three American flags, the
children are putting on a typical
Girl Scout meeting, plus a dra-
matic sketch pointing up the
meaning of the flag to them.
The affair, which is open to all,
will start at 7:30 p. m. at the
