Mr. and Mrs: Jose Winsen of the Book Cadillac Hotel have re-
turned from a short vacation in New York City.
Hy Bialik of 1611 W. Philadelphia has returned from a three-
month trip through California and Mexico.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Ankerman and son, Hy, of Richton Ave. have
returned from a week's stay in New York where they attended a
family reunion and the wedding of their niece, Doris, at the Savoy
Plaza. Miss Fay Oberman, sister of Mrs. Ankerman, accompanied
them on this trip.
Bride-elect Florence Morris was honored at a miscellaneous
shower April 10 at Huyler's. Hostesses were her aunts, Mrs. M.
Levine, Mrs. B. Garfinkel and Mrs. S. H. Margolin of Danville, Ill.
Mr. and Mrs. A. E. West and family, formerly of 17310 Penning-
ton Dr., are now residing in their new home at 19640 Roslyn Rd.
;Mr. and Mrs. Alfred W. Payson and son, Anthony, of Chicago
Blvd. have returned from a three months' vacation in New Orleans
and Miami Beach.
Dr. and Mrs. Arthur A. Gilbert of Byron Ave. returned from at
month's trip to New Orleans, Panama and Guatemala.
Honoring two brides-elect, the Misses Betty Minus and Lillian
Rudner, Mrs. Richard Cott, Miss Esther Berman and Miss Irene Cott
entertained at a luncheon last Saturday for 20 guests.
Aaron Klein and his daughter, Miss Julia Klein, of W. Boston
Blvd. returned from a two-month visit in Los Angeles.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wetsman of Boston Blvd. returned from a
visit in Arizona and California.
Mrs. Samuel` Lieberman of Birchcrest Dr. returned from Waco,
Tex., where she visited with her mother, Mrs. Louis Fred.
Many social affairs were given in honor of Mrs. Julius Schwarts
of Brooklyn, N. -Y., who was the house guest of her niece and nephew,
Mr. and Mrs. Nat Goldstaff of 4066 Pasadena.
William Rosen of Roseville, Mich., has returned from a vacation
in El Paso, Tex., and Los Angeles.
Mrs. Leo Foranow and daughter of San Antonio, Tex., are here
on a month's visit with her sisters at 2996 Monterey.
Mrs. Paul Shulman and children, Gerald and Charlotte, have
returned from a motor trip to Portland, Me., where they visited with
their grandmother, Mrs. Rose Miller.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Hayman of 2715 Tuxedo Ave. have returned
from a month's stay in Miami Beach;
Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Shorr were the house guests of Mrs.
Mary Shorr during their recent visit with Mr. Sliorr's mother and
brothers, Mickey and Jackie. He is attending Nothern Illinois School
of Optometry in Chicago.

The marriage of Miss Sylvia
Rose, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Louis Rose. of 3258 Gkendale, to
Saul Waldman, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Harry Waldman of Mon-
treal, Quebec, took place March
21 at Congregation Shaarey
Zedek. Rabbi Morris Adler and
Cantor J. H. Sonenklar officiated.
The bride's gown of white
satin was embroidered at the
neckline with seed pearls. Her
full length veil covered the train
of her gown. The crown was of
seed pearls. She carried a bou-
quet of white orchids and a
Bible.
She was attended by her sister,
Rita Rose, as maid of honor, and
her sister-in-law, Miriam Rose,
as matron of honor. The brides-
maids were: ,Sally Hechtman,
Freeda Shoock of Washington,
D. C., and Sue Waldman of Mon-
treal. Sandra . Toby Schlussel
was flower girl. Saul Rose was
best man and the ushers were
Joe Rose, Bill Wolok and Phil
Kolodney of Montreal. Ring-
bearers were Marshall Wolok
and Leible Waldman.
The couple spent their honey-
moon in New York and Wash-
ington.
Out-of-town guests included
the bridegroom's family from
Montreal and Kushbay, Ore.,
and relatives from Baltimore,
Washington and Miami.
