Page Fifteen THE JEWISH NEWS /riday, April 23, 1948 Congregational News Plans for New Nursery School Announced by Shaarey Zedek Passover Services AtTemple Beth El Rabbi Morris Adler and Dr. Leonard Sidlow, chairman -of Shaarey Zedek's committee on education, announce that a Nur- sery School to be known as Shaarey Zedek "Beth Ha Yeled" will be opened Sept. 7. A faculty composed of com- petent teachers trained in nursery care and child-psychology has been engaged. Miss Betty Wald- vogel, the head teacher, is a graduate of the University of Texas and of the Merril-Palmer School. Mrs. Samuel Lehrman will be associated with Miss Waldvogel in the teaching pro- gram. The curriculum will be devoted to training the children in whole- some attitudes of co-operation, responsibility, regularity and in- itiative, as well as in basic Jewish loyalties and practices. Arts and crafts and music will likewise be included in the program of the school. The school will meet week-day mornings Monday through Fri- day 9 a.m. to noon. In conjunc- tion with the nursery for chil- dren, seminars for parents will be held throughout the school-year. Children between the ages of 3 and '5 years are invited to enroll. Information may be obtained from Miss Rabinowitz in the school office. On the second day of Pesach, Sunday, April 25, services will begin at 8:45 a. m. Rabbi Sperka will preach on "The. Struggle for Freedom." All are welcome.
