Keeping pace with a Passover
demand that has already become
a holiday tradition, the produc-
ers of Manischewitz Kosher Wine-
reveal that _this year's produc-
tion is • the greatest in the history
of the firm.
This year, it was learned, holi-
day tastes for the unusual in fine
wine will be gratified by the in-
troduction of Manisehewitz
Sparkling . Win,e the first time
a champagne Kosher for Pass-
over is available. A package store
poll indicates_ that many inteTid
to use it as a gift for , their Seder
night hosts.

Claudette Chocolates will cele-
brate the opening of its newest
Detroit store, at 7541 W. Mc-
Nichols Rd., with an open house
on Sunday,. April 1,8 from 1 to 6
p.m..
Arthur. Klein, , president of
Claudette ChoColates,. stated, that
no business would be transacted
that. day. "Everything's on the
house," said Mr. Klein, "and we
want every one to come in and
sample Our famous continental
specialties." It's been the policy of
Claudette Chocolates, Inc., to in-
troduce a new taste delight with
the opening of each store. The
newest chocolates shop is the
fifthAn Detroit, end the introauc- .
tion of Squareinints will add in
terest to the celebration.
The store itself, located on the
corner of McNichols and Lilac,
has a yellow, painted front with
silver stiApeand :Magenta name,
plates. The interior is • painted
gray and magenta with a ceiling
lighted in the revolutionary "egg-
crate" louvered style. This is the
first. store in Michigan in:this way ,
to 'use an entire ceiling area for
lighting. The store is air con-
ditioned. Architects for the re-
modeling were Weis. & Basser of
New York.

Passover Observances

Arthur Klein, president of
Claudette Chocolates, . announces
that Passover chocolates are now
available. These candies are made
under careful supervision of
Rabbi N. Kornmehl, member of
the United States and Canada
Union of Orthodox Rabbis.
The candies are strictly Kosher
for Passover, and this is the first
year they have been sold in a
store '.sselling only candy.
Claudette's Passover mecca-
roons are available in one-pound
metal containers. Claudette's
Passover chocolate bars are solid
bars of Swiss-type chocolate and
are sold in half pound and one
pound quanties. They are sold
only at the Dexter -store, 11563
Dexter at Burlingame.

Harry Cooper, Pharmacist
For 35 Years, Dies at 64

Harry Cooper, well known. De-
troit pharmacist who operated
drug stores in the Westminster,
Oakland and 12th St. districts
for 35 years; died April 6 at the
age of 64, at his home, 2460
Gladstone. He was the owner of
the Cooper Drug Store, $755-
12th St.
Funeral services were held
April 7 at Kaufman Chapel.
Burial was in Machpelah. Ceme-
tery. Rabbi Jacob Segal and Can-
tor Pavel Slavensky officiated.
He is survived by his wife,'
Jennie; two sons, David -and
Nathan; three daughters, Mrs.
Benjamin R. Parker, Mrs. Leon-
ard Tigay and Mrs. Maxwell
Miller, and a brother, Isadore.

Monument
Unveilings,

The family of the late Manuel
Weinberg announces the unveil-
ing of a monument in his mem-
ory at 1 p.m. Sunday, .April 18,
at Mt. Sinai. Cemetery, 28, 500
W. Six Mile Rd. Cantor Adler
will officiate. Friends and rela-
tives are invited to attend the
service.

The family of the late Anna
Frank announces the unveiling of
a monument in her momory at
- 3:30 p. m. Sunday, • April 18, at
Cloverhill Park Cemetery. Rabbi
Adler will officiate. Friends and
relatives are invited to attend the
service.

In Memoriam

In loving memory of our dear,
wonderful wife and mother, Sarah
Zack, who passed away April 15,
1946. Sadly missed by her hus-
band and children.

Residents at the Home for the
Aged will participate in a va-
riety of recreational programs
during the latter half of April.
Record concerts,, games parties
and movies are scheduled weekly.
Traditional PaSsover services
will be conducted, in addition to ,
daily and Sabbath worship. A
visiting rabbi will speak at MM-
cha services April 21. .

Willie Howard, Lou Holtz, Zero
Mostel and Ella Fitzgerald will
head a gigantic vaudeville show
entitled "Keep 'Em Laughing',"
at the Masonic Auditorium, for
t w o performances, Saturday,
April 17. Besides the regular
8:30 show, there will be one at
11:30. •
Howard, Mostel and Holtz are
considered the leading comedians
in show business and Miss Fitz-
gerald's torch singing have made
her a favorite everywhere. Two
other acts will complete the pro-
gram.

Riegelman, prominent Jewish
leader, was decorated with the
Order of the Auspicious Star,
China's highest civilian award by
Chinese Ambassador V. K. Wel-
lington Koo, for services he has
rendered the Chinese Govern-
ment as legal advisor. Riegelman
is chairman of the executive
committee of the New. York
Chapter of the American Jewish
Committee and a member of its
national executive committee.
