Meetings Feature
Elections, Projects

The Detroit Chapter of Hadas-
sah will hold .group meetings at
12:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 13. El-
ection of officers and Hadassah
projects will be highlighted.
• A child welfare luncheon will
be served for 39 cents, which will
pay for the/ niember's lunch plus
those of two Palestine children
at a cost of 13 cents each.
Members are urged to bring
new clothing, linen or . layettes.
Work of the Jewish National
Fund will be exhibited.
University East will meet at
the McGregor Library, Wood-
ward and Cortland. Mrs. Leon-
ard Fox, "Hadassah Book" com-
mentator, will be tax program
chairman, with Mesdaines Louis
Zlatkin, Harold Frank and Sam
Stulberg among the participants.
Mrs. Bert Smokler will give a
reading, "Love Letter," at the
University West meeting at the
Northwest Synagogue. Mrs. Ger-
alod Cohn :will give a Passover
narration, accompanied by Mrs.
Irving Bierndorf.
Central East will meet at the
Great Lakes Club in the Lee
Crest Apartment. The meeting
will feature the Book • of Life
project and musical numbers by
the Music Study Club chorus.
Central W e s t, meeting at
Shaarey Zedek, will hear a dram-
atic narrative, "The Fortress of
Mercy," illustrated by slides. '
Moe Kesner, the "ambassador
of Jewish song and humor" will
be at the Russell Woods meeting
at the Rose Sittig Cohen Bldg.

Mrs. Glasier to Address
Jr. Hadassah Meeting;
Plan Sabbath Programs

Mrs. Louis Glasier, past presi-
dent of senior Hadassah, will be
guest of honor at the April 11
meeting of Junior Hadassah, to
be held at Mrs. Saul Levin's
home, 2055 W. Boston. The meet-
ing will be open promptly at 2:30
with a movie, 'Fortress of Mercy,'
concerning the Hadassah Medical
Organization.

Mrs. Glasier, who recently re-
turned from the Senior Hadassah
Regional Conference held in
Akron, will discuss Hadassah
policies for the coming year. The
Central State Region of Junior
Hadassah ATM hold a conference
during the Memorial Day Week-
end in the form of a seminar; at
a Michigan camp.
The Mother-Daughter luncheon,
which has been pbstponed, will
be held June 13 at the Jewish
Center. Proceeds from this fund
raising affair will go toward Ju-
