Refugees Contribute Finance, Trade
Experience to Jobs in this Country

NEW YORK (JPS)—Gedaliah
Bublick, Yiddish and Hebrew
Many of the refugees who
writer and one of the founders
of the Mizrachi Organization of come to the Jewish Vocational
America and the American Jew- Service seeking help in finding
ish Congress, died at the age of employment possess a wealth of
experience gathered in Europe
about managing matters of fin-
ance, but, here in America, the
greatest problem in finance that
faces them today is their own,
as the scarcity of job opportun-
ities for middle-aged refugees
keep them from taking their de-

served place as useful members
of our society.
Mr. Ninamon and Mr. Ausget-
tle are two such men desiring
work. These are not their real
names but this is their real story.
A strongly-built person, with
remarkably good health and a
clean-cut appearance, Ausgettle
has 25 years of banking experi-
ence to his credit, as representa-
tive of his banking firm on the

stock exchange in Berlin, and as
owner of his own banking and
brokerage business.
Today, in America, he wants
only a job that will permit him
to be self-supporting.
"In Vienna, where I was a
bank employee for eight years,"
Ninamon said, "my job consisted
mainly of handling correspond-
ence on imports and exports on
the foreign exchange." Follow-
ing his years with the bank,
Ninamon went into business for
himself. For 13 years, he owned
his own retail hosiery and un-
derweaeshop. Then came Hitler

and Ninamon fled to Shanghai,
Now in America, he wants to
make his own way as a respon-
sible citizen-to-be. But he needs
assistance from you.
If you have any sort of job that
might be suited to these men or
to any of the other refugees who
are eager to work, please call the
Jewish Vocational Service. Those
who have already received simi-
lar applicants from the JVS have
found them highly satisfactory.
Call CA. 8570, or write to the
Jewish Vocational Service, 320 W.
Lafayette, Detroit 26.

REDDY, AT YOUR FINGERTIPS!

I'll work for you the whole day through
Toast your toast; cook, roast, or stew
Wash your clothes; and press them, too.
clean; make ice for you.
I'll beat,
I'll help in factories, stores and schools
And help the youngsters learn the rules
For farmers I've got lots of tricks
Like milking cows or hatching chicks.
And, Boss, I bet you're glad to know
work long hours for wages low
So call me early; keep me fate
In my REDDYBOX home
always wait.
