versity of Michigan and her
fiance was graduated from the

Distribution Difficulties Delay
Latest Film on Anti-Semitism
HOLLYWOOD, (JPS) — Diffi-
culty in finding a distribution
outlet because of a feeling here
that anti-Semitism has been suffi-
ciently exploited on the screen
in recent months, held up until
'new the appearance of "The Burn-
ing Bush," Conrad Nagel film
dealing with anti-Semitism in
Hungary in the 19th century.
William Lee Wilder, who pro-
duced the picture last fall, an-
nounced last week that it will be
distributed by United Artists. He
also disclosed the difficulty in
getting a proper distributor, which
he had refused to discuss until
now. The picture is based on a
story by Heine Herald and Geza
Herszeg of an historic Hungarian
trial of 1882 which closely paral-
leled the French Dreyfus case.

$5,000 for Palestine

Pninah Club, a new group of
men and women, has been or-
ganized to further the work of
Mizrachi in Detroit. -*
A quota of $5,000 has been as-
sumed as the immediate project
of the new group.
A Purim social and evening of
games to be held this Saturday
at Turover Hall, Dexter at Duane,
will be the first public affair of
the group. F'roceeds will be used
to help the fighters in Eretz Is-
rael. All are welcome. Tickets
may be obtained at the door.

VEGETABLE CASSEROLE

1 cup sliced onion
1 chouped green pepper
1 cup diced. celery
1 cup fresh or canned tomato
2 tablespoon butter
1 cup shredded carrots
Ph cups diced potatoes
1 cup shredded string beans
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon flour

Carmelize the sugar, add butter
and onion and saute five minutes.
Add the flour and seasoning.
Ccimbine with tomatoes. Put in
casserole with the other vege-
tables and cover closely. Bake
one hour until all vegetables are
tender. One cup of diced mush-
rooms may be added, gf desired.

Prague Paper Apologizes
For Reporting Attack on
Jews by Czech Minister

PRAGUE, (JTA) — A report
that Minister, of Information Vac-
lav Kopecky made derogatory
statements•about Jews of East
European origin in the course of
an address delivered in a Czech
provincial town was denied and
the Prague newspaper which
carried it published an apology.
The newspaper—Pravo Lidu-
revealed that the report was
written by a member of the
Czechoslovak Parliament who, in
the meantime, has been expelled
from the Social Democratic Par-
ty. The report caused a sensation
when it appeared, since Kopecky's
pro-Jewish sentiments are well
known.

Vladislav Clements, to whom he
conveyed the Congress' condo-
lences on the death of Jan Masa-
