Mn.'Goldoftas Confident Jewish
Efforts Will Trium#11 in Palestine

The determination of Palestine
Jews to - . carry on their work for
the redemption of Bretz Israel is
certain to lead to -ultimate tri-
umph, Mrs. Shulamit Goldoftas,
who recently returned from a
three-month visit in Palestine,
stated. -
In numerous
addreises she de-
livered here in
the past few days
before t h e
Jewish National
Fund Council,
Pioneer Women,
Jewish • National
Workers -A 11 i-
a n c e branches
Mrs. Goldoftas and other groups
—Mrs. Goldoftas placed emPhasis
on the intimate impressions she
gathered during her tour of the
entire country, including the Ne-
gev, Upper Galilee, the coastal
plains and all the Jewish colo-
nies and important Arab and
Christian sectors.
Mrs. Goldoftas described how
the Yishuv lives,' its agricultUral
and industrial activities, its
schools and hospitals. Her enthu-
siasm centered on the energy of
the people, their courage and de-
votion, their sacrifices and their
loyalties.

"I was 'deeply impressed with
the type o_f youth we have in
Palestine," she stated. "Physical-
ly and spiritually; a new genera-
bon of Jews has arisen. They are
full of life • and laughter, and at
the same. time - they grimly face
realities and know how to defend
our possessions, the people of Pal-
estine and their homes. Haganah
is great and strong and the Maa-
pilim (visaless immigrants) are
evincing a spirit akin to the great-
est heroeS in Jewish life."
Mrs. Goldoftas spoke. with pride
of the work of Moatzot Hapoalot,
the projects of the Pioneer Wom-
en's Organization with which she
has been actively associated here
for many years. She praised the
'manner in which Toung Halutzot
are being integrated into Pales-
tine's life and she especially corn-
mended Beba Idelsohn whose
guidance of Moatzot Hapoalot
projects has led to great achieve-
ments by the nmen pioneers.
