-(A Review)
•By RABBI MOSES FISCHER
Cpngratulations- are in order
for Rabbi I. Stollman on the pub-
lication of the third volume of
his , notable book "Minchas Itt-
chok."
There is hardly a .single feat-
ure in the traditional homiletid
literature in the' standard his-
toric "Darshonoth" as: great ver-
satility, transparent crystal style,
a resourceful, at times brilliant
interpretation of Biblical and.
Talmudical passages w h i c h
would not find classic expression
in the opus of Rabbi Stollman.
Each sermon, arranged in the
order of the weekly" Sedrahs"
of the third and fourth book of
the Torah, may pass as an essay
by itself, serving as a vehicle for
bringing home with force and
eloquence the _ well deliberated
and mature thoughts of the Rab-
bi.
No sincere, reverent Jew will,
after examining earnestly its
pag4es, put it aside without feel-
ing that the time spent upon its
study was profitable, that his
Judaism became intensified, the
horizon of his religious -know-
ledge broadened, his loyalty and
devotion to 'Judaism strengthen-
ed by its perusal.
The - rabbis of old used to eule ,
gize a new. book at its publica-
tion by calling it -a veritable
"basket of the finest fragrant
spices." It is no exaggeration to
state _that Rabbi .Stollman offers.

ture such a . "Kupah shel .Beso-
mem," which will certainly de-
light every lover of the Torah
and friend of homelitics.
